From ancient times, the sea has played a key role in shaping and generating settlements cities. The history of civilizations been marked by cultural development human societies along coastlines. Accordingly, these territories are harbor an important coastal heritage; that plays pivotal maintaining link between past future. In fact, while cities grow their populations increase, planning becomes challenge for sustainable development. Through different forms mechanisms, sprawl is materialized, massive occupation industrial activities this vein, coastlines endure many conflicts, which lead to degradation natural resources may result loss identity associated with presence landscapes. paper aims, discuss approaches challenges related managing landscapes, facing impact sprawl. based on landscape analysis; it interviews urban, social, juridical morphological frame. An understanding urban through lens Annaba’s coastline required its implication as social support city. also examines how coastalization affects heritage monograph one valuable French colonial constructions Algeria.
